Key takeaway

Coverage across Asia-Pacific varies widely: several cards explicitly support Malaysia and Singapore, while records for Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam are limited.

Our review found:

  • Japan: Avici Card is the only product on our list that explicitly names Japan as supported.
  • Thailand: Thailand appears on the MEXC Card APAC application page; Oobit Card includes it among its compliant Asian markets.
  • Vietnam: OrbitX Pay, Moto Card, and BitMart Card all explicitly prohibit or exclude Vietnam; we found no affirmative support listing.
  • Indonesia and the Philippines: no regional eligibility statement appears in our database.

The absence of a listing is itself a finding. We leave a market unclassified when we cannot verify it from an official source rather than guessing.

Japan

CardWhat the source says about Japan
Avici CardOfficially supports Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, the UAE, Japan, selected US states, and other markets; explicitly prohibits residents of mainland China, India, Russia, and Turkey.

For Avici Card, distinguish two separate questions: where the card network is accepted and who is eligible to apply. Japan has broad Visa acceptance, but that does not mean Japanese residents can apply for every stablecoin card.

Avici Card explicitly includes Japan in its supported-market list while prohibiting residents of mainland China, India, Russia, and Turkey. Its approach is to confirm eligible jurisdictions individually rather than opening the product to an entire region.

Thailand

CardWhat the source says about Thailand
MEXC Card (APAC)Thailand appears on the current APAC application page; Global card eligibility depends on the account page.
Oobit CardThailand is included among its compliant Asian markets.

Pay attention to which MEXC version you are looking at. Its materials say that countries, fees, or limits for one version should not be applied to another. Global and APAC versions can have different eligibility and pricing.

For fees, the MEXC Global version's 0% spending-fee promotion ended on 2026-09-30; the 1% spending fee resumed on 2026-10-01. The official comparison page and application guide give different descriptions of APAC transaction, conversion, and cross-border fees, so check the quote currently shown in the app.

Vietnam

We found no affirmative eligibility listing for Vietnam; three cards explicitly exclude it:

CardStatement
OrbitX Pay CardThe official restricted-market list names 17 countries or regions, including mainland China, India, and Vietnam.
Moto CardThe terms' prohibited-country list includes mainland China, India, Israel, and Vietnam.
BitMart CardVietnam appeared on a historical list; the card has since been discontinued.

This may relate to Vietnam's regulatory stance on crypto-assets. We do not assess policy here; we record only the regional wording in the cited official materials.

Indonesia and the Philippines

Among the 120 brands in our database, no card has a regional eligibility statement that mentions Indonesia or the Philippines. We therefore have no verifiable access record for either market and make no availability claim.

If you have an official source we can check, please send it through Telegram or X.

Why APAC coverage is uneven

  1. Issuer availability. Many Banking-as-a-Service providers are headquartered or licensed in Europe, the United States, and a few Asia-Pacific financial hubs such as Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia.
  2. Compliance is assessed jurisdiction by jurisdiction. Stablecoin cards generally need a compliance arrangement for each country, so eligibility lists tend to name markets one by one rather than opening an entire region.
  3. Local alternatives differ. Markets with mature domestic payment and exchange systems may have less demand for foreign-issued cards.

What to verify

  • Check the version. A brand may use different issuing entities in different APAC markets, with different fees and eligibility.
  • Distinguish “coming soon” from “available.” A product listing a market as “Coming soon” is not evidence that applications are open.
  • Read restricted-market lists. Terms may use a prohibited-country list rather than a supported-country list; the former can cover more cases and is easy to miss.
  • Check discontinuation records. BitMart Card has been discontinued, so its historical market list cannot establish current availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

In our review, Avici Card lists Japan as supported. Final eligibility still depends on KYC and account review. We found no other stablecoin card with a clear Japan support listing.

What is the MEXC Card fee in Thailand?

The APAC and Global versions use different fee descriptions, and the official comparison page and application guide do not fully agree. We do not give a single fee figure; check the applicable quote in the app.

Can I apply for a stablecoin card in Vietnam?

OrbitX Pay and Moto Card explicitly list Vietnam as prohibited in the materials we reviewed, and BitMart Card has been discontinued. We found no stablecoin card with explicit support for Vietnam.
