Shutdown timeline
Newest event first. Each entry comes from this card’s change log or from verified official material; where several share a date, the one written as an event comes first.
-
Winding Down Advances
Confirm service termination and fund risk
BitMart officially announced the suspension of deposits and spot trading; underlying BaaS provider PayrNet went insolvent, rendering cards completely dead.
-
Operations Stalled
Suspend spot and futures trading services
Platform operations gradually shrink; users report withdrawal delays and restructuring.
-
Debit method and supported assets (before shutdown)
Historically, the card spent directly from the BitMart Spot account balance, converting account assets to the purchase currency at transaction time. BitMart has announced that deposits stopped and spot, futures and other trading services ended on 2026-08-26; the former debit method should not be considered available now.
-
Deposits Halted
Halt new user registrations and deposits
Officially closed new card applications and on-chain deposit channels.
Who is affected
These fields carry the card’s last published wording, to help you work out which category your account falls into. They do not mean these conditions are still open to new applicants.
- Application regions
- Historical applications were limited to eligible regions. Because BitMart has stopped new registrations, deposits and trading, the card should not be considered available or reliable. The official list previously excluded mainland China, Hong Kong, the US and Vietnam; that historical list does not establish current eligibility.
- Identity verification
- The card is discontinued, so there is no current application eligibility. Historical applications required BitMart Identity Verification Level 2; additional documents may have been requested during review.
- Funding route
- Discontinued historical product; purchases were funded by converting assets in a BitMart account at the time of payment
- Fee wording
- The following are historical fees shown on official pages before shutdown: the fee schedule listed a 1.3% FX fee, no annual / inactivity / cancellation fee, a free virtual card, a US$70 plastic card, a US$120 metal card and a 2% ATM withdrawal fee. The product page described the 1.3% fee differently. These are not current prices or rates for an available card.
- Reward wording
- These are historical rewards shown before shutdown and are not currently available: the product page listed 4% on online purchases for new users in month one and 3.5% thereafter, plus 5.5% / 5% at supermarkets and restaurants. The cashback FAQ summarized base rates as 1%–3.5%, up to 5% in selected categories and up to 10% during special campaigns. Rates varied by region, card type, tier and promotion.
Underlying issuer PayrNet license revoked by Bank of Lithuania; BitMart stopped deposits/trading; cards terminated by Visa.
Do not deposit! Please withdraw remaining assets through BitMart's official channels as soon as possible.
The fee and reward fields preserve the card’s last published wording and do not mean those terms still apply. Current availability follows the official sources and verification date listed on the profile.

What to do next
Deadlines the issuer has given
The issuer has not published a deadline that is still in effect.
This site’s general checklist
The following is not an instruction from the issuer. It is this site’s general advice for any card being retired.
- Stop topping up the card or its account, so the balance does not sit with a party that has stopped operating.
- Move the balance back to a wallet or account you control before the service ends; the withdrawal route usually closes before the card itself does.
- Go through every recurring charge tied to this card, especially AI and streaming subscriptions, and move them to the new card before cancelling the old one.
- Keep the shutdown notice, withdrawal records and ticket numbers as evidence for any later claim or appeal.
- Pick a backup card on a different network or from a different issuer, so a single channel failure does not take both down at once.
