Payment status
CEX.IO’s announcement says card payments have been unavailable since 2026-02-03; existing cards cannot be used online or in person.
Who is affected
These fields carry the card’s last published wording, to help you work out which category your account falls into. They do not mean these conditions are still open to new applicants.
- Application regions
- New card applications are currently unavailable. Future regions depend on a new issuing program.
- Identity verification
- Existing cards must still be managed under the original account rules. New card onboarding is currently paused, so the product should not be recommended as open for applications.
- Funding route
- The previous card program has stopped processing payments; a new issuance program is pending a partner transition.
- Fee wording
- Former-card fees do not represent the pricing of a future program; the new program’s full fees have not been published.
- Reward wording
- Rewards from the former program should not be treated as benefits of a future card.
The fee and reward fields preserve the card’s last published wording and do not mean those terms still apply. Current availability follows the official sources and verification date listed on the profile.
Comparable replacement cards
Replacement cards come from this site’s card directory, with closed and winding-down products excluded. The same funding route is preferred first, then cards a mainland China reader can apply for.

What to do next
Deadlines the issuer has given
The issuer has not published a deadline that is still in effect.
This site’s general checklist
The following is not an instruction from the issuer. It is this site’s general advice for any card being retired.
- Stop topping up the card or its account, so the balance does not sit with a party that has stopped operating.
- Move the balance back to a wallet or account you control before the service ends; the withdrawal route usually closes before the card itself does.
- Go through every recurring charge tied to this card, especially AI and streaming subscriptions, and move them to the new card before cancelling the old one.
- Keep the shutdown notice, withdrawal records and ticket numbers as evidence for any later claim or appeal.
- Pick a backup card on a different network or from a different issuer, so a single channel failure does not take both down at once.
