  • Account migration

Legacy Wirex App ends custodial account services; the card keeps working

The official upgrade FAQ states that from 2026-09-30 the legacy Wirex App no longer supports transactions or other account services and is read-only, so users must migrate to Wirex One and claim eligible digital assets. It also states the card “keeps working exactly as it does today, throughout and after the upgrade”, so this is an account-layer migration rather than a card withdrawal. One direct consequence: the partner card Cardano Card announced it stops on 2026-10-31 because Wirex ended its custodial infrastructure.
